Sir William F. Buckley Jr I've just returned from the Headquarters of National Review this morning. The entire place is in morning, and the phones don't stop ringing. Friend and colleague of my Grandfather Dr. William A. Hunter, Buckley was an icon whose arched eyebrows and emphasized articulations of dramatic proportion filled the livingroom of my grandparent's as well as my mother's home as I grew up going through life with the Firing Line always blaring away in the background.
